Sambar – south Indian lentil stew made with vegetables, lentils and a unique mixture of spices.
It’s excellent loved with rice, idli or dosa. Don’t allow the listing of components intimidate you, it’s sincerely clean to position together!
sambar served in a gray bowl garnished with curry leaves with twigs on cilantro and greater curry leaves scattered all round When we consume South Indian meals in eating places, my awareness is continually greater at the sambar and chutneys than the idli and dosa.
Sure, I love my idli and dosa however an awesome sambar and chutney makes all of the distinction in my opinion.
Unfortunately, maximum of the eating places right here make genuinely horrific sambar. It’s generally tasteless and lacks flavor. So I make amends for the dearth of it with the aid of using making an awesome sambar at home.
My sambar recipe is quite primary and immediately forward. I don’t use a ton of vegetables both however I can promise that this make an awesome primary sambar.
